I have been teaching violin for more than 15 years. I teach students, from as young as 5-year-old, to young adults. It brings me great pleasure to contribute to the development of their potential and to experience the magic that music brings to their lives. I have prepared students for Royal Conservatory and London College of Music examinations. Many of my students progressed through to the top levels and even were awarded with a Royal Conservatory of Music Examinations Gold Medal. Even though I have prepared many students for examinations or auditions my teaching is not focus in exam preparation but in transforming my students into musicians, they become violinists with a deep understanding of music that allows them to connect with the music they play. I believe that students should have as many opportunities to perform as possible because they can see all their hard work materialized in beautiful music and it provides them hard evidence of their progress.

I have a master’s degree in Music Performance from the University of Calgary. Prior to that, I was a violinist with the Carlos Chavez Symphony Orchestra in Mexico City for more than a decade and the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra in Nebraska. Currently I collaborate with different Symphony Orchestras around the Ottawa area, to mention Ottawa Symphony Orchestra, Gatineau Symphony Orchestra, Kingston Symphony, and Pembroke Symphony Orchestra.

I am passionate about performing and I enjoy guiding my students in the process of becoming musicians. One of my goals is that they feel comfortable when they take the stage to share their music. The focus of my lessons is based on the idea of a rounded music education, hence throughout the lessons we work on violin or piano technique, music notation, music theory, musicianship, and performance. I also encourage students to play with their peers, that way they can interact with other students, be part of a musical community, and develop the musical abilities that are required to do chamber music.

My name is Ali Nader Esfahani, I am an Iranian/Canadian composer and a private music teacher. I started my studio with the intention of sharing the musical knowledge that I have accumulated during my life as a professional musician.

My teaching philosophy includes a focus on empowering students through revealing their own passions and curiosities. I have designed several courses with the purpose of helping my students to develop their understanding of different aspects of music, their musical creativity, and/or to learn how to play the piano.

If you are a music admirer, you can enrich your appreciation of music. If you are an instrumentalist, you will acquire a deep understanding of music theory from tonal to post-tonal. If you are an aspiring composer, you will be able to develop your compositional vision and skills. If you are interested in expressing yourself through music, I can teach you an acoustic instrument like piano or the electroacoustic medium as a musical instrument.

Synchronicity is a private studio based in Vancouver area but reaches students from all around the world through on-line lessons. The name of the studio, ‘Synchronicity’, has a musical and an extramusical meaning. Musically, it refers to the timing of musical events following the same clock. The extramusical meaning comes from the concept of ‘synchronicity’, defined by the Swiss psychologist Carl Jung as ‘a meaningful coincidence of two or more events where something other than the probability of chance is involved’.
